Cosplay Mania X Cosplay Snapshots Contest

Mechanics
●     The contest is open to all photographers.
●     There will be no age-limit.
●     Participants can use any type of camera (film or digital).
●     Photos must have a size of at least 5 inches × 7 inches at 300 DPI or 1500 x 2100 pixels

1.    Photo entries must be related to cosplay.
2.    Photos may be black & white or colored.
3.    Participants can submit a maximum of five (5) entries.
4.    Photo entries should not have been published in any publication or entered in any contest prior to Cosplay Snapshots Contest.
5. All entries can be from a photoshoot or event, studio or outdoor setting, as long as it does not show obscenity or nudity.
6. Basic post-processing will be allowed (brightness/contrast, saturation, sharpening). Retouching should be minimal. The addition and subtraction of elements (erasing, pasting, cloning) will not be allowed.
7.  In case of photos having the same subject (same cosplayer and costume, but different photographer), the judges will decide which one will be retained.
8. Out of all the received entries, twenty (20) will be chosen and exhibited during Cosplay Mania X and be eligible for final judging. Participants can email their entries to cosplaymania@gmail.com with the subject “Cosplay Mania X Cosplay Snapshots” in the subject line. Submission of entries will be from July 14, 2010 until September 15, 2010. All entries received after September 15, 2010 shall not be accepted.
9. Selected photos will also be featured in an original photobook titled the “Cosplay Snapshots Project” and each of the top twenty (20) finalist will receive a free copy of the publication.

11. The organizers of Cosplay Mania X reserve the right to disqualify entries which do not follow the requirements or are deemed unsuitable for the contest.
12.  The judges’ decision shall be final and irrevocable.
13.  All participants shall retain ownership of the photos they submitted. However, the organizers of Cosplay Mania X will have the right to publish the images for promotional purposes without any financial compensation to the photographer other than due acknowledgment.

The Cosplay Mania X Cosplay Snapshots Guidelines is the sole property of Cosplay Mania X, its organizers and its parent company, Cosplay.ph.

The guidelines cannot be copied and/or replicated and/or reproduced for any other event and/or contest without the consent and/or permission from its parent owners.
